Croatia as Norway ? 2/3 Big Presidential Candidates from the Right, with Total Absolute Majority+
*Strasbourg/Angelo Marcopolo/- Will Croatia, (who prepares to Lead the EU between January and June 2020, just after succeeding to get brillantly elected also at PanEuropean CoE's General Secretariat, with Marija Buric, for the period of 2019-2024), evolve like Norway, in internal Politics ?
In addition to a notoriously Long and Beautiful SeaCoast, added to Natural Wonders at Internal Waterways, (Fjords in Norway, Danube River and Karstic phenomena in Coatia), the currently Richest Scandinavian Country may soon have in common with the Strategically located "Mittel-Europa" Country, even a Political Landscape Advancing towards a popular Unity of all the Right, as the Results of the Crucial 1st Round in its Presdential Election (December 2019-January 2020) have Just Highlighted :
While even German Chancelor Angie Merkel, has earlier hailed as "Best Prime Minister in the World", her Norwegian collegue, Erna Solberg, who Heads a Unity of the Right Government, between ChristianDemocrats/EPP and Rightists,
now it's probably her Croat collegue, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, who looks Well Placed to Definitively Win the Presidential Election on January 2020, judging by the Results of the 1st Round, Today, where the People Voted for her between Socialist Candidate Zoran Milanevic (almost a retired veteran) and Rightist Candidate Miroslav Skoro (a newcomer, supported by a Brand New Coalition).
Indeed, Kolinda (KGK), also a ChristianDemocrat/EPP politician, and outgoing President, got around 27% of the Votes, closely Followed by rightist Miroslav (MS) with around 25%, (i.e. Totaling, Both taken Together, clearly More than the Absolute Majority), while socialist Zoran (ZM) got about 29%, Isolated at the Left, as the Rest of the Votes were Dispersed among Various and Numerous other Small Candidates.
So that, theoretically, with a Potential of, at least, a Majority of + 52 %, in view for the 2nd and Final Round, scheduled, between the 2 Frontrunners, on January 5, 2020, KGK, (who reportedly "Called for All those on the Right side, to Unite, behind her candidacy"), is, normaly, due to Win that race, which may have an Important Influence Also on the Forthcoming, Crucial Parliamentary Elections, scheduled by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, (her Ally at the ChristianDemocrat/EPP Party "HDZ" : i.e. "Democratic Union"), also for the Same Year, Later on Autumn 2020.
Mutatis-Mutandis, more or less Similar Political Trends, pleading towards a Unity of the Right, emerged Recently also in Various Other Countries throughout Europe, such as Italy and Germany (according to Regional Elections and Nation-wide Polls in Both), Denmark, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Austria, Spain, etc., (in Addition to a considerable Strengthening of the Rightists also in Sweden, Finland, Belgium, France, etc, not to speak about Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, etc, partly already in Government, without excluding even the Different, but, in fact, Likewise Developments in the UK).
-------------------------
Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, a partly US-Educated Litterature Graduate who studied also Diplomacy, entered her Political Career during the 2 successive Governments of the Most Long-Standing Prime Minister in the History of the Country : Ivo Sanader, (who Succeeded to rapidly Overcome the Scandalous Paradox of having left, in the Past, the 95% Asiatic, 99% Islamized, UnderDevelopped, notoriously Oppressive and Aggressive Turkey, become a Controversial and UnPopular ..."Candidate" to EU Accession, while, at the Same Time, the undeniably European, predominantly Christian, located at the "Heart" of Europe, Democratic and Peaceful Croatia was initially kept Out of the EU - while cultivating Good Relations with the Serbs, whose Minority Party in Croatia was Supporting his Coalition Government, favorable to a sustainable Return of Serbo-Croat Refugees to their Ancestral Land and Family Homes, as he had Often stressed to "Eurofora"s co-Founder), First as European Affairs Minister, and Afterwards as Foreign and European Affairs Minister, (i.e., as Also has done her compatriot Marija Buric, Nowadays the New CoE's Secretary General, who, after serving as a MP in Sanader's era, she had Even been appointed as Vice-Prime Minister). Following unsuccesful attemps by the Socialists to Slander her, and her Husband, when she served as Ambassador to the USA, she became Assistant Secretary General of the NATO, twice. After Surprizingly Winning the 2015 Presidential Election, against an out-going, then, Socialist Candidate, she marked a Symbolic but Real Difference on Policy vis a vis the Socialists during the 2015-2016 Crisis of 1,5 Millions Mass Asylum Seekers/Irregular Migrants suddenly Smuggled by Turkey through Greece into the EU, and held an UnForgetable role at the Moscow Final Games for the UEFA, side by side with French and Russian Presidents Macron and Putin, where the Ukranian Team made an Impressive Performance.
Rightist Candidate Miroslav Skoro, Now Backed by a Brand New Coalition made of at least 4 Parties, initially a Civil-Engineer, turned into a succesful Musician, Song-Writer and Singer, of Popular but particularly Socio-Political Music, ("Don't touch my Plain", "Heroes don't Cry", etc), was Elected MP during Ivo Sanader's era as Prime Minister, but Resigned in 1 Year, reportedly protesting against ill-treatment by several Establishment's Medias. His surprize Candidacy to the 2019 Presidential Election was announced almost at the Last Minute, but he managed to get the support of 4 or 5 small, Non-Establishment Parties, created at the Post-Sanader era, from various, particularly Conservative (Christian : f.ex. with "Radio Maria" etc, Anti-Bureaucracy : f.ex. "Bridge" of Petrov, or other) areas, which came for the 1st Time together, reaching an unexpected 25% : In Comparison, KGK's previous Competitor at the 3rd place, Back on 2015, had Only ...5%. It would be Natural and Logical if this New Big Political Coalition forms a New Movement in view of the forthcoming, Autumn 2020 Parliamentary Election, for an Alliance of All the Right, with the currentlly Governing Party "HDZ".
On the Contrary, the Socialist Candidate Zoran Milanovic (29%), who Studied Law, was a stuborn Adversary to Ivo Sanader, that he pursued and later Persecuted for alleged "Corruption". Himself, he arrived into Government Only Once, after what is called the ..."Kukuriku" (sic !) Deal, with 3 Leftist Parties (including that of "Pensioners") and 8 National Minority MPs, negotiated at an homonymous Restaurant...
One of the First Reforms of ZM was to Impose "Medically Assisted Fertilization", resulting into Artificial Births through Technocratic Interferences over Human Genetics, since 2012, while, almost at the Same Time, he Pushed for various so called "Rights" of controversial and unpopular Homosexual Couples, Unable to give Natural Births, (almost Immitating the Former Socialist/Liberal US President Barack Hussein Obama, who had been notoriously Elected with the Biggest Private Funds in America's History, particularlu from "Big Pharma" Lobbies, both on 2008 and 2012, and immediately Strived to Impose, Both Inside the US and at Any Other Countries in the World, even in Poor Africa, the Maximum possible Technocratic Interferences on Human Genome, especially under Pretext of so-called "LGBTI" Agendas, including the so-called "Same Sex Marriage", opening Access to Children)...
But the Majority of the Croat People had more Fighting Spirit than he thought, so that they Succeeded soon, since 2013, to Organize a Popular Referendum, through the "Citizens' Initiative for (Natural) Family", which Protected the Traditional Definition of Marriage, as "a Union Between a Man and a Woman", thus creating a Constitutional Protection of Natural Families and Natural Births, instead of Controversial and UnPopular "Same Sex Marriage", which Risked to Submit Children under the Power of Homosexuals, under Pretext of "Adoption", and Even to Trigger Numerous Artificial Procreations of Human beings Controlled by Technocrats, (Comp. Supra) : Despite Milanovic's vociferous Opposal, Urging to Vote "No" to that Citizens' Initiative, in fact, the Croatian People Voted a Crystal-Clear, Absolute Super-Majority of 2/3, Reaching as High as ...65% in Favour of that Important Popular Referendum on BioEthics and Humanity's Future ! Nevertheless, Zoran Milanovic persisted to Defy the People, and Imposed a Law on "Partnerships", reportedly giving to Homosexual couples the Same Rights as Married People, Except from that of Adoption, thus Sparing the Children, (which is, in fact, the Most Important)...
On the Contrary, ZM, (Unlike the ChristianDemocrat/EPP Ivo Sanader : Comp. Supra), has a Reputation of being quite Harsh Against the Neighboring Serb People, (the Relations to whom is Obviously Key for a Peaceful Cooperation in the Western Balkans' Future Integration into the EU), to the point that, (reacting to a "Law on Universal Jurisdiction for War Crimes on the whole Territory of Former Yugoslavia), he has reportedly Accused the Serbian Government to be acting "Arrogantly", and Threatened even to "Block Serbia's EU Accession Negotiations", as well as to adopt a Law allowing Croatia to Prosecute Serbians for alleged Crimes in Kosovo, and adding that "Serbs want to be Rulers of the Balkans, but are actually a handful of Misery !", according to him, (Source : "Wikipedia").
However, almost at the Same Time, ZM's Government, curiously, was among the First to "Call on Croatian Companies working in Syria to Withdraw from the Country" since February 2012, and to officially Recognize, since January 2013 (i.e. even Before the Arab League), as "the Only (sic !) Legitimate Representative" of Syria, the Controversial "National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces", which had just been Founded in Doha (Qatar), on November 2012, by a former Imam, and was Associated, inter alia, Also with the so-called "Free Syrian Army" para-Military Gang. + Moreover, Shortly Afterwards, Zoran Milanovic even "Sold Weapons to the Syrian Opposition" (i.e. extremist Islamist Armed Gangs) on February 2013, (i.e. when ISIS' Deadly Terrorists targetting Civilian People, Al-Queda's successors, and other such Islamist Gangs were notoriously Preparing the Invasion/Occupation of a "Caliphate" announced on 2014)...
After having Lost Twice in a row, at the 2015 and 2016 Parliamentary Elections with his "Socialist" Party, Zoran Milanovic Quit Politics and Became a Private Consultant, with main Client ...Albania.
Comparatively, when KGK had also to face a Period with an Adverse National Government in the Past (betweej 2011 - 2014), she had Managed to be Elected Twice as NATO's Assistant Secretary General, competent for Public Information, in Brussels...
ZM Returned Back to Politics 3 Years Later, seeking Now to become President on 2019-2020, but Facts clearly indicate that, most probably, this could be his 3rd Loss in a Row, ... as Something New seems to be Growing Nowadays around Croatia's "Mittel-Europa" Strategic European Heartland.

ECHR's President to "EuroFora" on Journalists Gongadze and Adali murders : Principles must apply to all States, without discrimination.
+ ECHR's Statistics on Freedom of Expression (See below).
European Court of Human Rights' President, Jean-Paul Costa, questioned by "EuroFora" on Journalists' murders, as in Gongadze and Adali's cases etc., strongly stressed all CoE Member States' obligation to make efficient Investigations to find and punish those responsible, and underlined that ECHR's case-law's principles must apply to all without any discrimination.
His call was clearly supported by various Top MEPs who denounced a risk of "Double Standards" if some Journalists' murders are investigated, while others don't.
To avoid such risks, CoE's Parliamentary Assembly adopted a Resolution, on the occasion of Ukranian Journalist Gongadze's murder, "stressing", as a matter of general Principle, "the importance it attaches to the safety of Journalists and political activists, especially those linked to opposition groups, in ALL member states of the CoE". All "crimes against journalists and political activists must be investigated ... as a matter of priority, without political interference".
Costa was replying to "EuroFora"s question on the fact that, after CoE's Committee of Ministers, also CoE's Assembly had just adopted a Resolution on Gongadze murder case, based on an ECHR's judgement of 2005, asking a full Investigation from Ukraine, who has found and condemned in 10 years of jail 2 executants, but not yet the instigators.
While nothing similar was yet done for dissident Turkish Cypriot Kutlu Adali's murder, with 5 bullets shot at his head out of his Family's home in the territories of Cyprus occupied by Ankara's army, despite another ECHR's judgement of the same year 2005, and despite Turkey's claim that nobody was found among those responsible for the murder, and that there was nothing more to do..
In order to be credible and efficient, CoE's mechanisms shouldn't find a way to at least ask for full investigations of all Journalists' murders anywhere they might be committed, without exceptions ?

- "On the larger question that you raised, I'd like to say, since we are in a period of stock-taking on ECHR's 50 Years, that the Court's case-law developed certain concepts ....such as the Positive obligations of States, part of which are also the procedural obligations", started to reply ECHR's President.
- "Whenever Journalists, Lawyers, Defenders of Human Rights, or even simple Citizens are murdered, the States are held responsible, not only if its their own security forces' agents who committed these murders, but also if they didn't make sufficiently substantial and efficient Investigations", he stressed.
- "I want to strongly underline that we (ECHR) have found in many cases numerous violations of Articles 2 and 3 against States, ....(about) murders or torture, ...because they didn't make enough Investigations in order to try to find and punish those responsible".
- "We (ECHR) do that vis-a-vis all 47 (CoE) Member States, without any discrimination".
"Naturally, the circumstances in each particular case may be differend, and we can't ommit to apply the rules of proof, or the rules of criminal procedure".
"But we try, by all means, to apply these principles of our case-law, to all States", he concluded.

Costa's call was strongly supported by several Top CoE MEPs, from various Political areas
- "To investigate the murder of one Journalist, and not of another, looks like Double Standards", denounced the President of EuroLeft Group in CoE's Assembly, Dutch MEP Tiny Cox.
- "What is the reason ? Politics or specificity of a case ? Of course, if Cyprus and Turkey are involved, it's always a Political case"..
- "Murders of Journalists should always be fully investigated, because killing Journalists is not only killing persons, but also killing Free Press". "We (CoE's Assembly) should do our outmost to help People who are working on Free Press and they are under threat or murdered".
Because for Free Politics, Free Press is a pre-requisitive : Parliamentarians cannot function without a Free Press. Not investigating, is not protecting ourselves".
So we should investigate all Journalists' murders : We are talking about Gongadze, about the Cypriot man (Adali), about the Journalist murdered in Moscow one week ago, etc", Cox concluded
- "CoE can' look at these cases differently. CoE can't wear Blinckers !".
- "If the one is investigated, so has to be also the other. Why there wasn't full investigation ? Why's that ?", wondered British Socialist MEP, Alan Meale.
- "A good idea" would be to "make a Motion for Resolution", and "join all Journalists' murders. Adali and Gongadze etc", said to "EuroFora" EU Parliament Political affairs Committee's President, Goran Lindbland, ChristianDemocrat MEP from Sweden.
