Russia asks Guarantee if EU might prefer to get Gas via Turkey Zig-Zag instead of Directly in Europe

*Strasbourg/Angelo Marcopolo/- While EU Parliament holds 3 Energy Policy Debates here ToNight, (including on the "Governance of Energy Union"), before EU Commission convenes Tomorrow Morning, also in Strasbourg, Russia officially asked Guarantees if EU might, eventually, prefer to get Gas through a Zig-Zag plan, coming and going via a 3rd Country as Turkey, instead of 4 Direct Pipelines inside Europe, most of which already Exist, Ready to be used, (See relevant MAP).

- Independently of a Smaller, Bilateral Pipeline Only for Turkey's own needs, the Most Important : a much Bigger, "Second Pipeline" for Europe, "will Only be Constructed IF we Receive Ironclad Guarantees, from EU Commission", clearly Warned Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, at his Annual Press Conference Today (Monday), according to semi-official "Tass" Press Agency.

- Such EU "Guarantees" should Make Sure that "they (EU Commission) will Not Pull the Same Trick, as it happened (f.ex.) with the (Earlier Planned) "South Stream" regarding Bulgaria", (the Incoming EU Council's Chair for the Period of January - June 2017), he Explained.

- For that purpose, Russia would Only accept an "option Wholly Guaranteed by the European Commission", which Will Not be Broken", Lavrov underlined.

- In this regard, he also Warned Against alleged current Attempts for a "rather Dirty Play", and "Dishonest Games", f.ex. "to Invent certain New Rules Post-Factum" in order to Block anOther EU - Russia Gas Pipeline Project : "Nord Stream 2", between Petrograd region and Germany, through the Baltic Sea.

+ Already, 2 Other Gas Pipelines going Directly through Europe :  one Leading to Germany, via Belarus and Poland, and anOther Leading to Austria and Poland, via Ukraine and Slovakia, (See MAP), which Already Exist, Ready to be Used, have been successively  Blocked in the recent Past, under Various Political and/or other Pretexts.

AnOther, eventual, option, might, reportedly, be a Russian Gas Pipeline Heading to a "Custody Transfert Station" inside (EU Member) Greece, just after Crossing only a Small Part of Neighbouring Turkey, but this looks also Conditional to the same "Guarantees" asked by Lavrov.

Various Last-Minute Objections opposed by some inside the EU Commission Against Direct Russia - EU Gas Transport Links, already were at the Focus of a Spectacular "Clash" between former EU Commission's President Jose Barroso, (currently USA's "Goldman Sachs" employed agent), and Russia's President Vladimir Putin, during an unforgettable Press Conference, at the Conclusion of an EU - Russia Summit in Brussels, (Comp. "Eurofora"s NewsReports from the spot then, f.ex.: ..., etc).

Now, if that 2nd possible Russia Pipeline towards Europe through Turkey doesN't get the "Ironclad Guarantees" that Lavrov asked Today, then, Ankara's regime may, probably, Find quite Hard to Pay for its own Gas expected from Russia, since the Turkish Government, in Combined Moves, had apparently seeked to get a Big Part of that Money by Imposing Taxes on the Transit of Russian Gas towards Europe...

=> An eventual Reply by EU Commission to the above-mentioned Statement made by Russia Today (Monday), might, perhaps, emerge After a Collective Meeting of EU Commissioners Tomorrow (Tuesday) Morning in Strasbourg, which is due to be Followed also by a Press Conference here, by Vice-Presidents Frans Timmermans and Jurki Katainen, (in charge of Law/Institutions/Rights and Economic Growth/Investment/Competitiveness/Jobs, respectively), Later Tomorrow Afternoon (15.30+), depending, naturally, also from the Questions that Journalists will be allowed to raise, on this occasion.

++ Meanwhile, however, EU's Energy Needs are, apparently, Growing Fast Nowadays, to the point that German Authorities found Necessary to even ... Demolish an Historic, 3 Centuries-Old, Christian Church, only for a Private Mining Company to Exploit an open Pit Coal Mine !

Even the Burried Bodies of People whose Families used to Live at Erkelenz-Immerath Village for Centuries, were reportedly "Exhumed from the Graveyard have been Reburied" elsewhere, at a Far Away Location, where all Inhabitants were "Transfered" by that Mining Company, which left them with a Small, Grey Concrete-built, Makeshift "replacement" Church, that, obviously, does not support any Comparison with their Original, Historic Architectural Cathedral, now for ever lost... (See relevant PHOTOS).

Immerath is located in Rhineland-Palatinate's Region, Governed by the Socialists, and Near Koeln (Cologne), which is considered as the "Turkish Capital" of Germany, plenty of Foreign-Funded and Recently built Muslim Mosques, as several Medias observe on the occasion of the Demolition of its Historic Christian Church, soon after being desacralized a few years ago.

Symbolically, that Village's "Coat of Arms" pictured a ...Christian Church and Cross, at a Green Natural Landscape with a Clean Blue Sky, while, on the Contrary, Mining Company RWE is reportedly due to transform all that area into a Wasteland for Decades, (at least up to 2.045).

Moreover, that Mining Company (RWE) is due to Exploit "Brown Coal", or "Lignites", i.e. one of the .."Dirtiest" forms of Fossil Energy, while, by an Irony of the Sort, that Demolition of the "Saint Lambertus" Historic Cathedral occured only a Week Before EU Parliament in Strasbourg now holds Debates and Votes, as well as 2 Press Conferences specifically on ... "Clean Energy".

 On the Contrary, Natural Gas is considered to be Clean and Climate-Friendly.

A subsequent MEPs' Plenary Debate on the Incoming EU Presidency by Bulgaria for the Period of January-June 2018, with the participation of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, scheduled for Wednesday Morning in Strasbourg, might offer anOther Occasion to eventually Discuss such Topical and UnPrecedented, GeoPolitical and still OnGoing Issues, as EU's Choises for Energy Supply Security and Economy among Various possible Russian Gas Pipelines' routes.

After Bulgaria, the rotating EU Presidency is due to be taken over, for the Period of July - December 2018, by Austria, who is (as also Germany and Poland) one of the few EU Member Countries to be Directly Linked to Russia's pre-Existing Gas Pipelines, (See MAP), until currently Blocked under Various Pretexts, (Comp. Supra).
