Merkel: our Duty is to Fight against ISIS' InHuman Terror, even More Terrible than Ukraine crisis

 
*Koeln/CDU Partei Tag/- Despite the crucial importance of a Solution to the Ukranian Conflict for Peace in Europe, nevertheless, "the InHuman Terror of the Islamic State (IS)" is "an Even More Terrible Drama" which "rages just a Few Hours away from here ", stressed the German Chancellor Angie Merkel, in her landmark Speech at the main Governing ChristianDemocrat CDU Party's Bi-Annual Congres in Koeln, where she has been brillantly re-Elected with more than 96,7% of Votes, shortly  after leading the Biggest Party of the Biggest EU Country in an exceptionaly Big Win of 40% at the latest, September 20 13, National Elections.    

A similar position was apparently taken also by the President of the European People's Party, Joseph Daul from Strasbourg, a t his key-note address to the CDU's "Partei-tag", (See Infra), while it fits quite well even with a series of various other relevant Developments during these Days :

    - Even if "what happened in Ukraine, for Months, put Peace in Europe into Question", nevertheless, "this Crisis canNot be Solved by  Military means", and "very Effort must be made to Solve it Diplomatically" : - "I am Convinced that we Can do that, and we  Need to do that".

    => In particular, as things stand Today, "let's Return to the Minsk Agreement" (of September 5, 2014, on a Sustainable Cease-Fire, etc), an d "Let's Try to make it work. "We may need a Long Breath", and "the Way is Hard. It Requires a lot of Patience", "But we  shall Help wherever we can", in order to achieve Peace in Ukraine, because this is "Necessary", "as a Lesson from History, and as a Response to our present-day Europe".

    + However, - "Just a few Hours away from here, takes place for many Months in Syria and Iraq an even More Terrible Dram a from that" :

    - "It's n ot just about the Tragedy of the Civil War in Syria, but it is also about the Inhuman Terror of "IS" (Islamic Stat e) that Rages there, and whose Hatred and Brutality seem clearly to know No Bounds"; she denounced.  

    - "What conc erns me, even if it seems to be going on far away from us, is that "as a Christian, we canNot simply put our hand s in our laps. We are Committed to Help. We are obliged to look. We are obliged to assume International Responsibility", at least in front of "the Plight of Persecuted Christians", Merkel stressed.

     - "It is our  Duty to Help many People, but where Christians are Persecuted, the CDU canNot remain Silent !".

     - Already,  "Germany has been involved, for many Years, in many Regions of the World", whether  we "only think to "Measures of P rotection" and/or  "Logistical support to Infrastructures", or to Military Operations, such as in Afghanistan", she  observed.,

    + Moreover, en ce qui concerne specifically the Fight against ISIS, "now", the Bundeswehr "Helps the "Peshmergas in  Kurdistan to State-Building and much more", Merkel noted, speaking of the Training of Kurdish Soldiers of the Autonomous Northern Region of Iraq.

    ++ Meanwhile, "the Bundeswehr is currently engaged in a really Important ReModeling Process, in order to be Prepared for such entirely New Challenges : .. an Herculean Task", the German Chancellor announced, as far as the on-going Changes in the entire Army of the Country are concerned.

    +++ We must "warmly thank our many Servicemen and women who Risked their Lives while making part of their service far Away from our country", and "an Equally big thank you" is due "to all Development Workers, Doctors and Police officers who work Away from Home", Chancellor Merkel concluded on this point, by Highlighting the Diversity of Tasks that Germany may assume abroad, but obviously speaking in a way which apparently prepares the Public Opinion even for an eventualy International Military Operation against ISIS' atrocious BeHeaders/Throaat Cutters Terrorists who target even Helpless Civilian People.

 + A similar assessment was also made by European ChristianDemocrat/EPP Party's new President, Joseph Daul from Strasbourg, that Chancellor Merkel praised, from the Start of her speech, as "not only a great President of our great European People's Party, but (also) a living example of Franco-German Friendship that has made so many things possible in Europe", as she said :

- "Islamic State's" conflict in Iraq and Syria provokes gross Violations of Human Rights, Mass Migrations, bloody Terrorism and even Threatens EU's Energy Security, denounced in particular Daul in conclusion, apparently "in tune" with Merkel, (that he contacts "almost every Day now", as he recently told "EuroFora" at EU Parliament in Strasbourg)...

 - "We (ChristianDemocrats/EPP Euro-Politicians) have a very Important Responsibility to help  settle various Conficts currently around the EU, from Ukraine up to ISIS' Terrorism and EU's Energy Security, but, first of all, to succesfully act for EU Growth during the next 5 Years" (2014-2019), in view of which, we thank Angie Merkel for her personal Commitment to Europe, Daul stressed in a nutshell.

- In the recent EU Parliament's Elections of May 2014, despite an augmentation of various, Leftist or Rightist EuroSceptics, nevertheless, it's not at all to the Socialist Party, but, on the contrary, mainly to the ChristianDemocrats/EPP MEPs, and their frontrunners, New EU Commision's President, former long-time Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Jean-Claude Juncker, and, among German candidate MEPs, to the Leader of CDU/CSU team, Alistair McLean, of Scottish Origin, who are all in favor of "Structural Reforms", in a Social Market Economy, without "Casino-Capitalism", but Solidarity and Values, that EU Citizens' Votes gave a crystal-clear 1st place, with the Biggest Parliamentary Group, observed Daul.

 - Therefore, he also pointed at his successor, the New Chairman of a "Strong" EU Parliament's biggest group, that of ChristianDemocrat/EPP MEPs, Manfred Weber from Germany (of the Governing Coalition CDU/CSU), who was symbolically present between former EU Parliament's President and Adenauer Foundation's current President, Hans-Gert Poettering, as well as Ukranian Top Politician Klitsko, from President Poroshenko's block. One of the closest to Maidan square Popular Demonstrators, but notoriously excluded from the 1st post-Yanukovich Kiev's Government by Obama's Assistant State Secretary, Miss Nuland, who prefered Yatsenuk, generally considered as more radicaly opposed to Russia, even if he got less MPs throughout Ukraine than Poroshenko in the latest Elections.

Significantly, these moves come shortly after OSCE's Annual Ministerial Summit at Basel (Switzerland) just revealed that the 57 Member Countries of the Euro-Atlantic area for Security and Cooperation, which extends from Vancouver up to Vladivostok, according to the established formula, are Unanimously United all Together in their Joint Will to Fight against the manifold serious Threats presented by the Extremist Islamic Terrorists of ISIL's BeHeaders/Throat Cutters, as well as "Al Nosra" and other "Al Quaida"-inspired Brutal Armed Gangs, as the Adoption of 2 Resolutions against "Foreign Terrorist Fighters" and "Kidnappings/Hostage-Taking" in such cases revealed, -(See relevant "EuroFora"s NewsReports from the Basel's OSCE Annual Ministerial Summit : f.ex. ... ), but, on the Contrary, the OSCE, despîte a partial Convergence on certain other points, is, unfortunately, still so sharply Divided on the Ukranian Conflict, and particularly on the key issue of its Roots or Causes, that it proved unable to adopt even one common political Resolution on that ...

+ By a suprising, but Timely and Impressive "Coincidence", an unexpectedly Big and Regular Rise in the Number of various SImple People holding Peaceful but Noisy Demonstrations, each Week initially at Dresden and spreading now also in other Cities throughout Germany, "against the Islamisation of the Western World", in the name of  pro-"European Patriots" or "Citizens", whose optical Symbol ostensibly pictures a Strong Popular Rejection of both NAZIsm and "ISIS"' horrible Violence, (etc), suddenly jumped at the FrontPage Headlines even of mainstream Media as No 1 News, this same Day of the main Governing CDU Party's Bi-Annual Congres, and even appeared to bypass it in Readers' preferences on-line, (f.ex. at the "Zeit" Newspaper's Website Today, etc), while the Numbers of Demonstrators crying "We are the People" and anxious to defend also Germany and all Europe's "Cultural Identity", as well as "our Childrens' Future", as their main placards stressed, Growing astonishingly Fast from a few Hundreds of Citizens at the beginning, last October, to several Thousand of Demonstrators during November, up to clearly more than 10.600 Persons just at Dresden last Monday, December 8, in an unprecedented spectacle, which has just Started to be commented by all the political class...

++ In such a Context, it's not surprising that, earlier Today, at CDU's 2014 Bi-Annual Congress, during the Votes casted by its more than 1.000 Delegates comming from the Popular Grassroots, a comparatively less experienced, quite Young candidate as Julia Klöckner from nearby Rhineland-Palatinate was suddenly propulsed at the Highest possible level of People's preferences, winning with 96,45 % of Votes the Highest place at the Party's Presidium after its Head, Chancellor Angie Merkel herself,  (undisputably Plebiscitated anew with a Top score of 96,75%), succeeding to bypass all other Heavyweights  of the main Governing party, just after becoming Famous throughout Germany for launching a Call to Ban the Islamic Burqa, as it has already been done f.ex. in France, Belgium and other European Countries.... (Naturaly, Klocker had also added other Popular issues at her list, such as support for Natural Family, Health Rights, Access to Digital Networks etc). 

                                                                                          
On the contrary, almost at the same time, an obscure Turkish-origin Candidate proposed for the 1st time at Koeln for the Bureau of the ChristianDemocratic Party, Emine Demir Büken, married with a German, but only Local representative at a Turkish quarter of Berlin, (and without even the slightest Press Report on her meetings during 3 Years except a visit to the ...Turkish Consul and another to a Local School to meet some Medical Assistants from Uzbekistan, Kyrgystan, Turkmenistan and other Central Asian Countries, exceptionaly touring Berlin, to which was added, later-on, an event at the Local Turkish Kebab Shop !), was practically Rejected by the People who Voted her Down to the Last rank among 8 Candidates for 7 posts, and should, normaly, have been excluded, if the former CDU Secretary General, currently Health Minister, Grohe, didn't ...Withdraw his own Candidature afterwards. (This served also to avoid a 2nd Electoral Round, where the Turkish Candidate might have been Down-Voted and definitively rejected by the ChristianDemocrat Delegates this time, as several Media observed. Instead, the controversial Turkish Candidate was, thus, finaly imposed to the People, even against their will)....

Obviously, such a move risks to add to the "Frustration" that even the New Secretary General of the CDU, Peter Tauber, reportedly said that he found in several ChristianDemocrat Voters because of the Concessions that CDU was led to make to the Sociialists for a "Grosse Coalition" with them, (f.ex. by skiping Merkel's famous "No to Multi-Kulti !" and accepting a Socialist Turkish Minister of "Integration", by giving a Double Nationality and 2 Passports to Turkish immigrants, by accepting for Homosexuals several advantages similar to Natural Families, etc), despite a quasi-Autonomous, Brillant Win of the September 2013 Elections by Chancellor Merkel, to whom the German People gave almost 40%, needing only 4 more MPs in order to have an autonomous Absolute Majority.       

       
    Already, the emergence of "AfD" and even of NPD at EU Parliament's May 2014 Election, even in a Tiny quantity, and now these Fast Growing Popular Demonstrations triggered "against the "Islamisation" of Europe, (comp. Supra), added to a well known, already widespread of various "Citizens" Movements in Local and Regional Elections, (etc), a "Frustration" felt by some CDU Members for too many Concessions made to the Socialists, (to the point that Tauber has just reportedy proposed a Vote by Militants whenever its Leadership negotiates Compromise Deals with other Parties for a Coalition Governments, as well as CSU's current Criticism f.ex. on the Cultural and Linguistiic "Integration" of Immigrants in Germany, etc, inside an overall Context of spreading New Threats by Extremist Islamic Terrorists of "ISIL", while various Rightist a.o. "EuroSceptic" Political Parties have already jumped Higher than, expected throughout Europe, starting by Germany's No 1 GeoPolitical Partner in France (NF), followed by the UK (UKIP), and even Italy  (Bepe Grillo, etc),

    =>  - "Probably that's one reason more for which Merkel was very largely Applauded Today at CDU's Congress when she launched a Strong Criticism against a Controversial Behavior by the Socialist Party, which has just betrayed the Grosse Coalition with the CDU at one Länder (Thuringia) by accepting even to stand there as a Minor Partner, following  Behind a Leftist, former Communist Leading Politician...

 - "This is an actual Declaration of BANKRUPTCY, by the SPD, accepting a Minor role, Under he Leadership of the Left", denounced Chancellor Merkel, among a very loud and prolonged applause.

 - "One thing must be Clear: Only our (CDU/CSU's) own strength, and nothing else than a Strong Union in 2017 will make Red-Red-Green Federal Government Impossible. Because we have to Work for the People of our Country", and "ChristanDemocrats have always undertaken their Responsibilities", while "People trust us", that "we provide the Right Answers to the Questions of the Times", and Work for Germany's Future", Chancellor Merkel firmly stressed. .

 - In fact, the Liberals of "FDP" party "remain, at any case, our Natural Coalition Partner".in Goverment. Already we have done Together many things Properly  during the Last Legislature"(2009-2013), that "we must Not Forget", and "we Can Built on that" also in the Future, she observed as far as Coalitions are concerned.

    >>>However, at another Interesting Development, Merkel, for the 1st Time so clearly, revealed that, despite previous hesitations or doubts, in fact, "We (CDU) have been Ready to make a Coalition with those "Greens", as at (nearby) Baden Wurttemberg, .. who had decided, Last Year (2013), that they want to enter in a Coalition with us".

    In fact, the main Idea behind that overall move was practically to focus on the manifold positive aspects of a "Black - Green" (and eventualy "Yellow" = FDP) Coalition based on both Environmental and Human Ecology, making feasible to include several Popular Values, from Renewable Energy Sources and New Technologies in that field, up to Respect for Human Life and Dignity, including by protecting the Human Embryo from Genetic Manipulations dangerous for all Humankind, a Healthy lifestyle in a Healthy Environment, support for Natural Family and Natural Births of Children, as well as a Pro-European stance, (etc: Comp. several relevant "EuroFora"s Publications, particularly around 2010-2011 and 2013, etc).

    - "But, some "Greens" were Not" ready for that yet : "what a Pity !", she regretted Today, denouncing the obviously Divided on this point "Green" Party, particularly since the Joshka Fischer period which practicaly "erased" the Historic Memory of the Traditional "Green" Movement, mutating it into a mere Secondary Appendix serving the Socialist Party's selfish aims.

    => Among various New Possibilities to overcome such obstacles in the foreseable Future, (such as Baden-Wurtemberg's  President Kretchmann, New attempts and contacts between CSU and certain "Green" Politicians f.ex. in Bavaria, etc.; New Elected "Greeen" Political Representatives at the latest Congres of the "Green" Oarty in Berlin, etc), there are also some "Tests" made localy, at Region's level, such as that of Hesse in Germany ;

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    
    - "More Successful  was (shortly after that 2013 attempt) our friend Volker Bouffier (who) works as prime minister under a Black-Green Coalition in Hesse"s Laender ! . Dear Volker, thank you for managing it :", pointed out Chancellor Merkel, loudly applauded, vis a vis the Head of Hesse's Federated State, who has just been Brillantly Elected by the CDU Congres also at its collective Presidium with almost 90% of Votes, at ithe 3rd rank, among 17 Members, just after Merkel herself and the very popular Julia Klôckner (Comp. Supra), but before 14 other important politicians, (including, f.ex., the Heavy-Weights Wolfgang Schauble, etc)  

 >>> Because "this is a New and Interesting Way", which,. I have the impression that it's Good for Hesse'", concluded Merkel, leaving the Queston for Berlin's Federal Government apparently Open for the forseable Future...
